ExakTime is awarding its second-ever academic scholarship this fall!
All submissions to the scholarship essay contest must be in by July 31. The writer of the winning essay will be awarded $1,000 toward their academic studies.
The essay question we’re asking entrants to answer this time is as follows:
Construction companies are facing a major labor shortage across the U.S. after a large number skilled workers left the trade or retired during the economic downturn. Many companies now report that it is very difficult to find skilled workers.
How do you think construction (i.e. home building, roofing, demolition, remodeling, flooring, concrete, etc.) businesses can attract more young people to the trade? Please think outside the box in a 600 to 800 word essay.
All matriculating college first years as well as current college and graduate students are eligible. Please visit our scholarship page to learn more and fill out an entry form.
